Urban Dam Part 1 Project 2024 Marija Jockovic University of Belgrade | Serbia The project deals with reviving identity through architecture in way that has deep cultural and emotional values, while enriching the historical and cultural heritage. Given that the location of the project is opposite the Belgrade fair - one of the most significant buildings in terms of architecture and culture of the city, the proposed design strives to carefully adapt to its surrounding. By applying traditional styles through a modern approach, it contributes to the creation of unique, but at the same time close and familiar environments. The design contents expand the possibilities of the location, creating new cultural and social hubs. At the level of the urban solution, the project remains consistent with the visual language of the location, emphasizing the integration with the existing environment and improving the quality of life in it. The project provides functional benefits, while also contributing to the development of social interactions. The project deals with transferring the historical context into an urban design, thus significantly impacting the its socio-economic environment.
