Van Thanh Canal: 10 Year In-sight Part 2 Project 2017 Bao Dang University of Western Australia Nedlands | Australia Sited in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, this urban proposition addresses the problem of household relocation and uprooted community networks as a result of a city wide canal upgrading implementation, through speculations over a 10 year timeframe. The project focuses on culturally sensitive and restraint urban interventions (edges, corridors, paths, and nodes), acknowledging social memory, familiar materiality and flexible housing configurations to strengthen the existing community networks.
