This project provides alternative sustainable environment instead of existing typologies in the regional development of Moscow agglomeration. New model of living environment reclaim collectiveness through spatial solutions and functional program. Proposed design of spatial relationship between natural landscape and living environment creates a new valuable productive landscape, which is a base principle in this project. New living environment with articulated orientation in space with strong connection to it’s site and surrounding context with mixture of urban life qualities and rural envirionment provides better land management and predictable model of development through design. Using two articulated borders, such as natural landscape (external obstacle) and internal courtyyard (internal border), it is possible to diminish negative impact on the natural environment. Internal artificial border safely conserves internal areas from unnecessary growth inside of the internal garden, leaving necessary space for social infrastructure according to Russian building code. External borders are formed by natural obstacles, such as forests, lakes, etc., which are considered as limit for an urban unit development. Proposed “productive landscape” is a base for heterogeneous living environment outside actual city boarders with the hybrid model of social interaction between people and their activities. Placed in the Moscow region among small villages, dachas and previously built infrastructure, project accelerates development of local areas by interchange between values of city life and rural environment. As a realistic alternative to the mikrorajon principles the project is supposed to be built according to the main regulations. As a result of application of this model throughout Moscow region, depressed zones are no longer a problem but become a potential plot for a unit placement. This urban archipelago is seen as a model of sustainable urban sprawl unit for a variety of prototypical plots throughout Moscow region already in the nearest future.
