Urban Rooms Part 1 Project 2006 Nicholas Hopper Andrea Fernandes University of Portsmouth | UK This is a mixed use scheme in Chichester, including an urban space, retail and housing. Nick was interested to challenge concepts of housing, introducing a prefabricated system that could be interactive with users requirements. His urban space also responded to this egalitarian concept, it is, accessible , flexible but equally, spatially dynamic. Nick approached this project with a response that was more than a formal architectural analysis and proposition. It has a social agenda, that positively informed the development of his architecture. This scheme attempts to deal with ideological issues, and at the same time is executed spatially and graphically with skill and sensitivity. Tutor(s)
