Birkenhead Festival City Part 2 Project 2018 Ruxandra Maszni University of Portsmouth | UK Birkenhed Festival City is a project which focuses on how coloured light can be used to create social space and events. Situated on the opposite side of Liverpool, the festival brings to life a network of old docks. The design uses scaffolding to create tensile structures with fabric as a canvas for the projected coloured light. This allows for tall, non-heavy structures that can be recycled at the end.
