The subject of ships and sails can be traced back hundreds of years ago where the Malayan Peninsula is home of a thriving maritime community that heavily revolves around sea and trade activities as waters connects the gaps between different empires and kingdoms.Now the Melaka Straight has been established as one of the busiest trade routes in the world, trading not only goods but also cultures and knowledges.These exchanges from all around the world give inspirations for local and traders of what would become of their long-life journey. Nowadays, people tend to overlook the naval history, art, and science that was once the pride of the of peninsula.The goal is to expose and promote maritime and naval history, art, and science through the medium of scale ship models.Once a British colony, lpoh has risen from its former tin mining industry into a cultural and historical tourist city, millions of visitors' flock to experience much of what's left of the colony. An opportunity is taken to revive the spirit of the seas, as Malar IIham: Vintage Club Gallery will be a new landmark for lpoh's collection of heritage sites and museums.
