The Eco-Haven: A Circular and Self-Sufficient Agricultural Bliss Part 1 Project 2024 Gregory Robin Yuwono University of Hertfordshire | UK Located in the heart of St Albans, the Eco-Haven residential complex is a pocket of green space in the middle of the urban skin. Our innovative housing scheme embodies a vision of sustainable living by promoting a self-sufficient lifestyle rooted in the principles of agricultural. The integration of personal greenhouses and aquaponic farming systems throughout the landscape, offers residents the opportunity to cultivate their own food, connect with nature, and reduce their ecological footprint. The cornerstone of our housing scheme is the incorporation of personal greenhouses into each dwelling, providing residents with the space and resources to grow their own crops year-round. The design adopts the spine circulation system, designing flats with both vertical and horizontal circulation movement, depending on the type of flats preferred. The landscape of the Eco-Haven is utilized as both a farming crop and a sensory garden experience, aiming to stimulate and satisfy all the five human senses through natural elements.
