Kerfed Gilled Ceiling Part 2 Project 2016 Yi Fan ZhangPaolo Apostolides University of Sydney | Australia This project explores the interplay between volume and light, to seek the potential of this combination to inform architectural design through the materiality of wood. More specifically, it examines how the advantageous properties of various species of wood can be honoured within a modulated ceiling construction system, whereby the properties of timber inform their use and are celebrated within the context of an architectural museum.
