Building as a Function of The Landscape: Reinstating and Recovering Industry Along Seaton Burn Part 2 Project 2018 Florence Bill Northumbria University Newcastle | UK This thesis has explored re-establishing infrastructure in a post-industrial landscape. The site was chosen after exploring the Northumbrian coastline in pursuit of a landscape displaying awe inspiring compositional qualities. The emergent design concepts were based on rigorous readings of the boundaries of different landscape conditions present, within the extents of the lower course of Seaton Burn. The resultant architectural proposal, then, becomes a new landscape condition. Florence Bill Tutor(s)
