To [Re]Build a Community Part 2 Project 2021 Niall Hamilton University of Plymouth | UK To [Re]Build a Community focuses on combating Stonehouse's wicked problem, a series of social, political and cultural issues, through the use of polyphonic (equal and simultaneous) responses and the use of dialogue to re-stitch the community. The approaches utilise self-build architecture to engage the community, namely through a kit of parts styled approach, simplifying the construction to encourage the community to alter and edit the proposed programs where necessary. This, alongside a 25 year phasing, aims to keep the project as a bottom-up approach and the overall masterplan stretches across 4 different sites, working with 4 different clients to create the aforementioned dialogue and polyphonic response.
