Festival in a Friary Part 2 Project 2018 Chloe Loh University College Dublin | Ireland Festival in a Friary is a provocative proposition to give the forgotten ruin of the St. Francis Abbey contemporary relevance for the City of Kilkenny. The architectural thesis reimagines the historic footprint and monastic inhabitation of the former friary to propose a new cultural Cloister that houses a public theatre, artist in residency rooms and performance spaces for the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
