The City Unveiled: An Arts Theatre for Nottingham

A New Arts Theatre sits at the heart of Nottingham to converse with the existing
celebrated monuments and public spaces in the city. It draws on the rich history of
processional, flowing fabrics of art history and the real and metaphorical draped
curtains of theatre. As a rather unconventional, modern theatre the building recalls
the history of performance and procession, using familiar motifs to give the
architecture its unique expression.
