Leith Refugee Shelter Part 1 Project 2016 Billy Morgan Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture | UK Refugees often arrive to countries in which they have been granted residence independently of their family members. This short-stay shelter accommodates fragmented refugee families by providing a system in which they might gradually become whole again. Communalised cooking and eating facilities facilitate a collision of world food cultures and thereby cross-cultural interaction, while an on-site bakery encourages the integration of the refugees into their environs by expanding their employable skill-set.
