Erasure of Social Landscapes Part 2 Project 2018 Sophie Baldwin Newcastle University | UK This thesis acts as a protest against the practice referred to as creative destruction. The notion that demolition is required to achieve new creative visions can be extremely damaging for existing communities and result in wide scale social fracturing. The work employs film and projection in line with different narratives as a propositional technique to question architectural thinking and the typical modes of production in the UK’s current housing climate.
