New Campus for the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Part 2 Project 2007 Christian KrollRoswitha Börner Hochschule fur Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden | Germany Aim of the design was to develop a conclusive and formal independent building by a multiple folded fabric. It considers the content of the urban design planning. Inside as well as outside arise exciting spaces.Whereas the experience of the outside building is unified, the inside concept consists of different spaces, which are connected. The basis of the buildingtypology are the junctions or multiple joints located along the through-passes of the urban environment. The connections of the junctions create a ramified buildingstructure. This offers various possibilitys for communication and interaction between students, lecturing staff and public. The program for the project is based on the international competition for the New Campus of the "Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in the Centre of Jerusalem. The authors create a strong and visionary ensemble that is able to refer to the complex urban situation and also creates a stimulating atmosphere for the campus and its users. The different functions are well situated and connected. Overall the project is developed on a very high level regarding the quality of the design from the urban scale down to the details of the proposed facade.
