Part 2 Project 2015

Situated in Knowle West, Bristol’s most deprived ward, the scheme has aimed to provide a community resource that will improve the skills and resilience of the area, as well as developing a framework to enable the production of affordable and diverse housing solutions through custom and self-build methods that distinctly opposes its homogeneous suburban context.

This approach has led to the evolution of a new kind of prototypical neighbourhood that expresses a more resonant connection with all aspects of the human condition and suggests a genuinely enriching approach to individual and communal life that reconnects residents to nature and the creative process in the creation and evolution of their homes.
