A Gesture in Green: A Dance performed in Five Figures as Five Scales of Absurdity (or, Newbattle Dance School, Newtongrange) Part 1 Project 2018 Rosemary Milne Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture | UK This ‘gesture in green’ responds to the rhythms and routines of workers in historic Newtongrange — who spent their days in the rigorous mills and mines, their nights in the swinging town dance halls, and their weekends at the local picture house.
