‘HOME’ – Louis the Legend’s Landmark of Leicester: A Spatial Exploration of Innocence and Understanding

Have you ever wanted to live in a fairy-tale? This project shows how architecture as small as a house has the ability to make the world a better place. Energised by the unique character of a children’s storybook illustrator, the design is driven by a rare combination of both innocence and understanding. The enquiring geometry aims to expand our spatial awareness and fuel inspiration through unique ways of experiencing space.

Once upon a time there was a guy in the park, called Louis (a children’s illustrator). Who suddenly had a genius spark, to make a new landmark in Leicester.
It all started with his heart, he thought this land would be the most perfect place to create his art.
The problem was, he just didn’t know where to start?
To have a whole wall as a canvas would make his life complete, windows that framed all of his favourite views would also be neat…
But what could be better than to have his own bespoke concrete?
Louis added all kinds of things to his home shopping cart…
Louis and the architect definitely had a good laugh, resulting in a home which was like the perfect choreograph.
He realised he could be even more smart, subtly transforming the surrounding land into an adventure park.
This emphasised the need for a much improved commute, resulting in a new clear colourful route, with the whole area having a positive reboot.
This extraordinary home meant that Louis never had a sad depart, from the wonderful land of Abbey Park. The End.
