Clean and safe water is the most basic human need and Georgians are proud of their body of water. But according to reports (WHO & UNICEF), one crucial problem still exists: getting access to clean drinking water is considered to be a privilege in many regions of Georgia and only two-thirds of the country’s population have access to it.

The aim of the project is to propose a Water Treatment Plant in one of the affected towns of the described problem - Agara, Georgia. With a population of 3,364, the town experienced 10 cases of hospitalized diarrheal diseases, prohibiting the population to consume water directly from their taps.

This proposed facility will not only serve its main purpose - ensuring access to safe and clean drinking water for the community but also act as an astonishing architectural landmark. This means creating eye-catching visuals which incorporates modern solutions and creative thinking, that transform how we view these spaces in general. Also, by attracting visitors it will further ensure economic growth in the region and foster community awareness of water treatment.
