Architecture is used as an educational tool with the design of the recycling centre aiming to become an iconic image of Leeds, making it synonymous with aspirational style and a recycling ethos. A visitor’s centre reinforces this by linking the underwater and above ground area to demonstrate what can be achieved. A single image will therefore portrait a recycling message which can be translated to most cities in the world.
