Fun Palace: Register of Protest

Part 2 Project 2017

In response to regular social actions taking place in Seoul, the project facilitates public protest. Kinetic structural walls are extendable to the main road to initiate extensive occupation of the architecture, and register processes of occupation. Apropos of Lefort’s theory that ‘power comes from the people and belongs to no one’, the project empowers citizens to negotiate, and channels the potential threat of social instability into communication with the authorities.
