The Social Path Part 1 Project 2020 Nyewuna Amadi Loughborough University | UK The Social Path aims to restore a Grade II listed building located on Bevington Street, Liverpool back to its original glory re-incorporating the large playground spaces which once was a safe space for the children of the neighbourhood. This new space is inspired by the large dropout rates between the ages 16-21 and is meant to provide a space for multiple types of learning and education. This new “path” is focused on bridging the gap between the local community and new visitors from the city or other places. It combines aspects of the older building with modern takes to create a more playful design which is meant to engage a new audience, so they are more willing to step into a new age library. The proposal will hold many rooms for social gatherings like seminars, music concerts, teaching conferences or even hire-able spaces for open days so that there are more opportunities spread out amongst the community.
