It all started with learning about how humans lived long ago—strange but there—humans who chose not to settle at one place for living and farming but to move on. We still live on the move for many reasons and on many scales, gaining and losing identities as strangers and natives along the way. The acquisition or loss of these identities is inevitable for all people on the move, so we all are both strangers and natives simultaneously.

What we need now, then, is a sense of mutual hospitality. We have reached a stage where we finally recognize the stranger after a process of exclusion, discrimination, and assimilation, but this recognition is only an understanding of who they are, and the natives themselves do not change. At this point, if architecture can be transformed and be adapted according to the needs and wishes of the strangers who come and the natives who welcome them, we might be able to willingly change for each other, therefore can practice a sense of hospitality towards each other.

The work consists of three episodes that illustrate this relationship between strangers and natives, responding to the dynamic relationship with the time of architecture, based on its motion and transformability.
