(Re)casting Excursion: The Beguiled City Part 2 Project 2018 Caitlin Owens University College Cork | Ireland This project is a critical ecological response to the dominant tourism industry in Venice. It establishes three new decoy Islands that question and challenge the relationship between authentic and reproduced experience. Located at external entrances to the Lagoon, it consists a series of interconnected programs that creates new mediating landscapes between Venice and the tourist.
