The project focuses on a shelter for abandoned children and adolescents in San Juan de Lurigancho, aiming to create spaces where they can develop, feel protected and reintegrate into society. Located in the "Las Flores de Lima" community, it’s near a technical training center, a nursery, a chapel and a park, which complement the project. The proposal includes integrating the park due to its current condition reducing the quality of life for users and residents.

The project proposes implementing the S.O.S. Children's Villages model, involving children, S.O.S. mothers, directors, aunts and others, to create a safe and caring environment. Various recreational spaces are planned to promote cognitive and social development. Housing is the main component, occupying 56% of the built area, with 11 modules of 8x8m and 7 half-modules of 8x4m. The 8x8m units will serve as S.O.S. Houses for mothers and children, while the 8x4m units are for the director, aunts, guests, staff, and temporary stays for short-term or emergency cases.

The project includes both indoor and outdoor recreational spaces, highlighting ground-floor courtyards and a large roof garden/patio on the second level. This garden/patio offers views of the park, fostering a connection with the surroundings and promoting interaction and play among the children.
