Centre for Building Value Part 2 Project 2016 Christina Cox Manchester School of Architecture Manchester | UK Cumbernauld is a Modernist, Scottish, Newtown displaying a variety of characteristics. The thesis explores value associated with building typologies. Centre for Building Value is a system where public buildings are manufactured, prototyped and tested in Cumbernauld and then distributed across Scotland. The scheme provides first-class public facilities as prototypes duel used by Cumbernauld’s community and public services in order to research and develop valuable new typologies of public buildings.
