The Towers of the Lyari River: Proposal for a Live-Work Community Karachi, Pakistan Part 2 Project 2016 Ahmad Mohammed University of Huddersfield | UK The project addresses a slum community which occupies part of the river bank on the Lyari River, introducing a social system which provides housing and a means of sustaining a livelihood in the form of fabric making.Self-build as well as systems which require a time based approach are seen as means of sustaining social cohesion.
