Establishing a Civic Identity in Old Street

The project is a provocative urban act against the gentrifying forces of London latest
developments. Through negotiations in between the private and public realm a new view
into Old Street Roundabout is proposed: a generous piazza where the arrangement of three
buildings reorganize the experience of it. The new architecture establishes a civic
dimension to the site, fighting for the idea of a more democratic city.
