Surrounded by the oceans, Taiwan is blessed with vast marine resources. However, the existing marine infrastructure is dominated by congested highway, resulting in an insufficient connection to the sea and forcing urban areas to be isolated from the environment. My design aims to break through this limitation by creating a coastal circular transport system, allowing people to experience the ocean again. Focusing on the experience and the harmony of nature, this electric seaplane base seeks to introduce the excitement of natural exploration into busy urban life.

Designed with nature in mind, it utilises an electric seaplane system to achieve an efficient transportation network. The terminal integrates natural landscape and historical significance into a free-curvilinear design that demonstrates the harmony of nature and technology. The building mimics natural forms to enhance the user experience, and the surrounding greenery is arranged in accordance with the site texture, demonstrating the dual values of innovation and historical preservation.

The Tamsui Seaplane Base not only enhances the spatial experience for travellers, but also establishes an eco-friendly transport network around the sea, aiming to reconnect the city with environment and allow people to rediscover their connection with nature in the midst of their busy lives.
