Traditionally, visiting and maintaining the cemetery is part of the Muslim community’s weekly activity. The existing cemetery was separated physically from Kampong Bahru village, posing a thesis challenge to create a connecting bridge and a future park for contemplation while exploring a permissible burial method rarely practiced by Muslims in the country but able to extend the lifespan of the overcrowded cemetery in the densely occupied urban Kuala Lumpur city.
