Tectonic theory in architecture, understands design and construction of space as one; neither exists in isolation as each informs the other. Although a significant concept during the master builder era, tectonics gradually lost its prominence due to construction specialization and the emergence of the professions of engineering. The dissertation presents the computer as a platform for reviving tectonic theory in the present and future context of the profession of architecture.
