Land in Suspension Part 2 Dissertation 2018 Jane Wong Architectural Association London | UK Charting the ruins of the 1968 earthquake in Sicily and the failed urban experiments of four relocated towns, the poem-thesis testifies to the excesses of architectural production by combining photographic survey, fieldwork, local correspondences and archival material. It identifies issues of museumfication, collective amnesia, preservation and romanticisation of ruins, and gives voice to the overlooked human and ecological community by rendering a constellation of latent conditions and objects visible.
