Part 1 Dissertation 2021
Laura Janicka

In the light of a recent urban development of Poundbury, Dorset designed by Leon Krier, deeply rooted in traditional urbanism, this paper explores the interconnections between traditional architecture and the human mind; exploring how authentic places are created, how we become attached to places we live in and how they affect our perception on life and change our everyday behaviours. The following investigation explores the concept of urban planning as the driving force towards social change.
