This dissertation explores the critical relationship between architectural design and mental health, proposing that spatial articulation can significantly influence psychological healing. Centered around the concept of "Healing Architecture," the research emphasizes how carefully curated environments can alleviate symptoms of mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Through a theoretical framework enriched by neuroscience and environmental psychology, and supported by global case studies, the study investigates how natural light, biophilic integration, sensory modulation, and spatial orientation can create therapeutic spaces for vulnerable users.

Set in Aramoun, Lebanon, the project culminates in the design of a healing healthcare facility tailored to psychological patients. The proposal integrates flexible spatial planning, natural materials, and holistic design principles to foster emotional balance, privacy, and social connection. Unlike conventional sterile medical environments, this architecture seeks to restore dignity, comfort, and hope through design.
