The Water Rush Project Part 1 Project 2022 Charlotte Rose Pugh Lancaster University | UK The Water Rush project is a retrofit designed to transform a North London empty warehouse and site into an accessible museum and waterpark for all.The museum’s wastewater collection was inspired by the famous River Fleet running close to the site. The centrepiece of the museum’s design is focused on the motion of water and is designed to actively guide visitors on a journey through the collection and out into the waterpark.The industrial use of water generated the concept of using the collection items to allow the museum to be self-sufficient. The idea is to give back to the community rather than adding to London’s ever-growing need for clean water.The reservoirs on site are designed to capture rainwater and circulate the water through the building via the water wheel. The journey through the museum ends with an interactive workshop space which mixes the use of digital rivers to create an educational game to show visitors the steps required to be taken in order to improve the water crisis.
