My entry is a testament to the power of architecture in creating a space that promotes healing, empowerment, and community for women victims of violence. Inspired by the resilience and strength of these women, my design aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment that supports their journey towards recovery.

At the heart of my design is the integration of nature and architecture, creating a harmonious relationship between the built environment and the surrounding landscape. Lush gardens and serene courtyards act as therapeutic spaces, offering moments of tranquility and connection with nature. These spaces also provide opportunities for communal gathering, fostering a sense of belonging and solidarity.

I have carefully considered the unique needs of the women, creating a private and secure living quarter that prioritizes their safety and well-being. The housing unit is designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing for personalized spaces that reflect their individuality. Shared spaces, such as a communal kitchen and gathering area, encourage social interaction and the formation of support networks.

Sustainability is at the core of my design philosophy. I have incorporated passive design strategies to optimize natural ventilation, daylighting, and energy efficiency, reducing the environmental impact of the refuge. Rainwater harvesting and solar energy systems further contribute to a self-sustaining and environmentally conscious approach.

My design is a testament to the transformative power of architecture in creating a space that nurtures and empowers women victims of violence. It is my belief that through thoughtful design and a holistic approach, we can help these women reclaim their lives and find hope in a brighter future.
