Sewing - Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Business District Urban Design & Complex Design Part 2 Project 2020 Tiantian Dong Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University | China The project is located in the area between Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and Hongqiao Airport. Benefited from the two major transportation hubs and the increasingly perfect subway traffic, the area has a massive flow of personnel and has excellent development potential.The shape of the building is like leaves and petals. According to different spatial characteristics, it is planned as an office business space and exhibition space. Each business district is independent of each other. However, at the same time, it establishes a close connection between the site interior and other sites through the underground space and the ground bridge. Leisure and catering spaces are alternately arranged in the open central landscape, which not only provides services for different types of users but also plays a role in attracting surrounding people. The exhibition space is connected with the open square and landscape. Its form is close to the ground and spirals up, guiding visitors to explore the interior of the building step by step. The water courtyard in the middle provides a rare peace in this busy and noisy area.
