A Forum for Things Part 2 Project 2020 Fraser Biggins London Metropolitan University | UK A Forum for Things explores the practice of transformation & change in architecture through the re-shaping of the existing London Metropolitan Architecture school in Whitechapel. The physical medium of it’s construction is challenged with the ideology of a transformation of it’s educational structure; it is the essence of the relationship between physical change and metaphorical effect that drives the ambitions of this project. In a culture where the cost of human labour often out weights all calls for re-use the project seeks resolution through the thriftiest of all means. Learning from Brandlhuber’s transformational ‘Anti Villa’, each action and each change is considered as a question of effort and effect, resource and resolve. It is through this balance that the question of transformation is posed. Fraser Biggins Tutor(s)
