Taipei Music Center Part 1 Project 2024 Hsuan-Yu Lai National Taiwan University of Technology, | Taiwan The report identifies Taipei City as a vibrant hub for music but notes a shortage of professional venues, limiting public engagement unevenly. With high population density challenging large venue construction due to scarce land, the government plans a large concert hall in urban spaces, raising concerns about integration and a potential stifling atmosphere.To address this, my proposal enhances public music participation through education, integrating the concert hall into urban life and architecture. Many global halls face issues of single-use and strict management, leading to high costs and energy use.I propose a design minimizing regulations, maximizing the hall's urban functionality with adjustable seating and sound systems for diverse events. This enhances efficiency and community involvement.The design emphasizes sustainability with energy-efficient tech and materials, reducing environmental impact and costs. Understanding Taipei's diversity and arts scene, the hall can inspire creativity and attract locals and tourists.This approach positions Taipei as a leader in inclusive cultural spaces, benefiting future generations.
