RhyVen Part 1 Project 2024 Lizeth Tatiana Mamani Contreras Pilot University of Colombia Bogota | Colombia The RhyVen project explores the role of the route in the spatial relationships between horizontal planes and level changes in the vertical. Using the route as an element of continuity, it is proposed to reduce the limits of the horizontal planes through a central void that begins at the connection of the ground floor with the surroundings, in a spatial sequence upwards, open towards the sky and the city. The continuity of the routes is based on the perception of space, the power of lighting and the harmonious play of light and water in the vertical to guide the view towards the central void. The design strategy demands a dynamic ground floor that operates as a multifunctional lobby for activities with a more private vocation in the vertical, from commerce and offices to different types of housing on the upper floors, with common areas that offer panoramic views in the upper part of the building. In harmony with the environment, the project provides inclusive, open, versatile meeting spaces that favor the public-private relationship. The staggered arrangement of the terraces from the base adapts to the shape as an allegory of the slope of the land, creating a visual and functional transition that resolves the feeling of oppression in the public space. The strategy favors the energy efficiency of the building to achieve thermal insulation, control of solar radiation and natural ventilation. Lizeth Tatiana Mamani Contreras Tutor(s)
