Embracing The Nodus Part 1 Project 2019 Fernando Ruben Cuellar Gonzales National University of Engineering | Peru Every day, thousands of citizens cross Caquetá a commercial area in Lima, a kind of node, where diverse dynamics at different scales flow and converge. Caquetá is in fact one of the most congested areas of Lima, a city with more than 9 million inhabitants that concentrates a third of the population of Peru and is the fifth most populous in Latin America.Caquetá area is next to the Pan-American Highway, crossed by a city main road, although both roads link areas of the city, ironically divide this area at a local scale, fragmenting it and generating urban islands.The movement of people is the key element of the project, whether they are on foot or by car, it carries commercial use naturally, which is why the project is an open infrastructure, links the fragmented areas of Caquetá and channels the existing urban dynamics.The project consolidates this node with the creation of an intermodal station that reorganizes transport systems at different levels taking also into account a train station, looking to the future development of the city.
