The Academy 1984 Part 2 Project 2024 Tijana Grujicic University of Belgrade | Serbia The topic of the project is manipulation and its use for propaganda purposes, while the project thematically refers to Orwell's novel "1984". Various models of propaganda throughout the history of different states served as inputs for the project’s conceptual framework – a new media center. Media is recognized as a tool of contemporary society used for manipulative purposes, and the project consolidates all forms of media under one roof, effectively functioning as a factory for producing news. The new media center incorporates the entire process, from the creation of news to its release into the world. Just as a person in nature is not aware of manipulation, they should not be aware of the existence and role of the new media center, which has a hidden character and appears in a "non-place" or forgotten location. Embedded in the rock and hidden behind several layers, the visibility of the structure is reflected in a few apparent elements (scene - a symbol of lie or imitation of life, auditorium - passivity of the observer, and house - architecture of mimicry).
