Situated in the heart of Rome’s hinterland, the proposal aims to repossess the abandoned ‘Industrial Colosseum’ as an area of commerce and industrial production. The project aims to reinstate lost production into the district of Testaccio, with the hope to reconnect the city with the lost ancient craft of glass blowing, creating a point of exchange between local produce and knowledge.

Through the examination and development of a praxis based on the use of cuts and folds across a plethora of media, such as collage, film, model, and drawing, this project focuses on the productive entanglement of Rome’s trades: past, present, and future. Situated in the heart of Rome’s hinterland, the thesis proposal focuses on the adaptive reuse of the abandoned 'Industrial Colosseum' as an area of commerce and industrial production.

The adaptive reuse of the Gas Factory aims to not only preserves Rome's industrial heritage but also foster a sustainable future for a through economic revitalization and cultural enrichment. This transformation envisions the Gas Factory as a dynamic hub where historical craftsmanship and modern techniques intersect. The project aims to attract artisans, entrepreneurs, and tourists, turning Testaccio into a thriving community center that celebrates the city's unique legacy.
