Reconstruct Cultural Identity Part 2 Project 2024 Hemen Galal University of Huddersfield | UK The work focusses on Hawraman, a mountainous region located within the provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah in western Iran and north-eastern Iraq. It is within this region that I lived as a child. Despite a rich history and cultural significance, Hawraman is facing a decline in population which threatens the fabric of its existence. In response to this situation, I have designed a facility to create avenues for employment and educational advancement within the village, with particular emphasis on empowering women and youth.
