[AUTO]MUSEUM : Embodiment of Building as Machine Part 1 Project 2019 Shafiq Ahmad Bin Anuar Ahad MARA University of Technology - Puncak Alam campus | Malaysia [AUTO]MUSEUM is an automobile museum where every aspect of it revolves around technology. The museum is established for the sole purpose of disseminating knowledge and information related to Malaysian automobile development to the public in relation to Malaysian automobile development. In response to the Industrial Revolution 4.0, the museum celebrates the transformation of automotive industry and motorsports in Malaysia. The museum consists of two floor level where ground floor act as common space and first floor act as exhibition space. The exhibition space is configured similarly to how engine does, resulting into the creation of 5 exhibition chamber connected by a glass tube.The intention behind the exposed architectural system, structural detailing and machine-led-inspired design reflects the importance of technological revolution in this project, thus create a precision to the design and operation of the building, similar to how a machine works. Apart from the state-of-the-art technology, the building is also equipped with innovative and sustainable features such as solar panel, kinetic tiles and rainwater harvesting.[AUTO]MUSEUM is a project that stays true towards technology as the core subject and is a perfect embodiment of a building as a machine.
