Aquaponic Center Dambulla

Part 1 Project 2022

City School of Architecture | Sri Lanka
The project is a rural Sri Lankan aquaponic facility constructed to spread this brand-new, cutting-edge technology through agriculture.

By providing a new agriculture-based skill that is self-sustaining and has the potential to raise one's income, the project's goal is to spread this agricultural practice as a home business inside the disadvantaged agricultural communities. The problems of poverty will also be eliminated by building a system of self-employment and empowerment within these communities.

For both practicality and public comprehension, the architecture has been created in a way that it complements the aquaponics process overall journey. This modern structure fits into the surroundings and complements and fully utilizes the resources that each section of the land has owing to its organic shape and use of natural materials.
