Choreographing a Landscape Performance Part 2 Project 2022 Aaron WalkleyChristopher TriggJoshua Earl University of Plymouth | UK The Damietta that we once knew could no longer sustain an environment where we could grow crops, and drink fresh water. Some called it a rise in the tide, and with it came a crisis of hydrology. A new desalination strategy named; Choreographing a Landscape Performance was instilled into the landscape over decades to embrace the gradual grasp of the salt line.The people retreating, formed sanctuary. A place which prospered and evolved with the rise in the tide, designing and crafting vessels able to traverse these new landscapes. Bio indication towers able to tell the quality of the water were planted and risen as part of a performance and ceremony.Now, we live amongst these towers, on small alcoves located to the north of sanctuary. Where we have reclaimed the land which was once taken from us, going about our daily lives and living as part of a new landscape, a new performance.
