Architecture of Liminal Space Part 2 Project 2023 Andrej Jovanovic University of Belgrade | Serbia The project is based on the museological treatment of the existing ruins of the former sugar factory in Cuprija with previous analysis and evaluation of spatial and temporal levels that can be read in continuous layers at the location itself (a ruin that is in the process of decay) by defragmenting them, exposing the complexity of the relationship between industrial architecture and the urban landscape to which it belongs. Architecture should not be seen as an immediate end goal, but exclusively as a means (supplementary element) by which the space and its surroundings are marked and defragmented, so that in the end the entire border liminal space can experience the transition into a space where one lives, and which retains all its composite elements that represent the specific spirit of the place.
