North Business Park - From dust to dialogue

Part 1 Project 2025
Jessica Zakaria
Beirut Arab University - Tripoli campus | Lebanon
Positioned at the southern gateway of Tripoli, this project reclaims a neglected coastal edge as a civic catalyst—a place where people can gather, eat, work, and belong. Set between land and sea, it responds to a site of passage by proposing a space of presence. Through a layered, terraced landscape, the architecture blends with the topography, creating a rhythm of built and open space that invites encounter, dialogue, and daily life.

Guided by the belief that architecture can heal and empower, the design engages. green roofs, courtyards, and passive systems that respond to wind, light, and slope—making the building perform ecologically as well as socially. Its organic form is sculpted not to impose, but to open—a gesture of renewal toward a city in need of civic nourishment.

More than a gateway, the project becomes a public promise: that Tripoli’s future can be built from connection, care, and a place that holds its people.
