Cultural Center: Art of living the street Part 1 Project 2025 Sofia Muñoz Osorio Pontifical Bolivarian University | Colombia The cultural center reflects on the “art of living the street” as a neighbourhood public facility that offers its spatial configuration as an artistic and cultural stage. This is made possible through the delineation of an “inner street” or fissure. The function of this street is to provide both visual and physical continuity between the public realm and the cultural programme towards the park, as well as the community-oriented programme towards the plaza.Ultimately, the project draws upon local values and neighbourhood characteristics, such as balconies and staircases, as social nodes that lead encounters while framing different types of landscape. These are configured through terracing, employed as the principal strategy for adapting to the topography, thereby enabling a variety of levels and, consequently, a multiplicity of interactions between the various spaces.
